Microblading

Microblading (also named Microstroking, 3D Eyebrow Embroidery, or 3D Eyebrows) is a new way of eyebrow tattooing and a great alternative to traditional permanent makeup. While traditional permanent makeup is done with a machine, Microblading is done manually with a pen. With gentle pressure a color pigment is implanted into the basal layer of the skin using a sterile microblade. This creates individual crisp hair strokes, and results in very natural looking eyebrows.

Step 1: Consultation

Before scheduling an appointment for the Microblading procedure, you are welcome to meet for a short consultation. During the consultation we will talk about the Microblading procedure, go over the consent forms and make sure that Microblading is right for you. We will also choose a color pigment that matches your original eyebrow color. It is important to choose the right color so the hair strokes will look as natural as possible.

Step 2: Procedure

First your eyebrows will be precisely measured and the perfect customized shape will be drawn with a removable pencil. This drawing technique requires high precision and a stable hand. This phase may account for the greatest portion of your appointment.

Once the eyebrows are symmetrical and scaled to your liking the Microblading procedure will begin.  You will be provided the option to use a numbing agent before the actual procedure. This could be an ointment that will be applied before beginning the procedure, or a liquid that will be applied once the outline of the brow is finished. These local anesthetics serve to make you as comfortable as possible during the Microblading procedure.

During the procedure the Microblading expert will use the Microblading hand tool and a disposable sterile microblade to craft realistic-looking 3D eyebrows. With gentle pressure a color pigment is implanted into the basal layer of the skin. Microblading is a 2-step process: The initial Microblading session, and then a touch-up (perfecting session) to perfect the brow. The perfecting session will be 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure.

Microblading is considered a semi-permanent makeup and usually lasts 1-3 years depending on several factors such as skin type and lifestyle. However, there is no guarantee that the pigment will fade out completely over time and a yearly touch-up is recommended to maintain optimal shape and color.

Step 3: Aftercare

After the procedure you will receive aftercare instructions. It is essential to follow the aftercare instructions to prevent infections or scabbing and get the best possible result.

The whole procedure will take approximately 2 ½ hours.
